Designed purely to improve movement from one stance to another using striking techniques.

This kata is used purely to improve the student’s movement from one stance to another.
Start the kata in fudo dachi (fig. 1).

On the command “Yoi” move into yoi stance (figs. 2 and 3).

On the command “Hajime” move the left foot at 90° into zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (fig. 4).

Move forward into right kokutsu dachi and punch chudan oi tsuki (fig. 5).

Move forward into left sanchin dachi and punch chudan oi tsuki (fig. 6).

Move forward with the left leg into mae kiba dachi and punch right jun tsuki (fig. 7).

With the right foot slide backwards and at a diagonal angle and turn 180° into right zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (fig. 8).
