Pinan Sono Ichi in Ura
Safe and secure. Ura is a stage to help perfect fast turning movements. Also, it enables the development of fast spinning kicks and balance through spinning movements on the ball of the foot.

Pinan Sono Ichi in Ura
On the command “Hajime” turn to the left into left zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (figs. 4 and 5) move forward taking the right leg clockwise (ura) around the body 180° (fig. 6) into right zenkutsu dachi and punch right chudan oi tsuki (fig. 7).
Turn 180° into right zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (figs. 8 and 9). Draw the right foot back into neko ashi dachi keeping the hips at the same height (fig. 10) and strike tettsui komekami with the right hand (fig. 11) (n.b. make sure your left arm is brought across the chest in the cover position so that the left fist is placed into your right shoulder, ensure that the right fist is brought from behind the head and approximately one fist away from the back of the head).
Move forward taking the left leg anti-clockwise (ura) around the body 180° (fig. 12) into left zenkutsu dachi and punch chudan oi tsuki (fig. 13).
Move the left foot at 90° (fig. 14) into left zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (fig. 15).
Move forward taking the right leg clockwise around the body 180° (fig. 16) into right zenkutsu dachi and block right jodan uke (fig. 17).
Move forward taking the left leg anti-clockwise around the body (180°) (fig. 18) into left zenkutsu dachi and block left jodan uke (fig. 19).
Move forward taking the right leg clockwise around the body (180°) (fig. 20) into right zenkutsu dachi and block right jodan uke and KIAI (fig. 21).
Move the left foot at 90° and pivot on the right foot (fig. 22) into left zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (fig. 23).
Move forward taking the right leg clockwise around the body (180°) (fig. 24) into right zenkutsu dachi and punch chudan oi tsuki (fig. 25).
Move the right foot back turning 180° (fig. 26) into right zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (fig. 27).
Move forward taking the left leg anti-clockwise around the body (180°) (fig. 28) into left zenkutsu dachi and punch chudan oi tsuki (fig. 29).
Move the left foot 90° (fig. 30) into left zenkutsu dachi and block mae gedan barai (fig. 31).

Move forward taking the left leg anti-clockwise around the body 225° (into a 45° stance) (fig. 49) into left kokutsu dachi and block shuto mawashi uke (figs. 50 and 51).
